This 1985 Froggy Bottom F Custom 12-String is a distinctive early example of Michael Millard’s meticulous approach to acoustic guitar building. The German spruce top, cut in 1879, brings an unique piece of history to the instrument, paired with old-growth Brazilian rosewood back and sides for a striking combination of materials. The F body shape balances the expansive, shimmering voice of a 12-string with a more manageable size than a traditional dreadnought. Together, these carefully selected tonewoods and Froggy Bottom’s small-shop craftsmanship make this a compelling instrument from the early years of the builder’s work.
