The 1981 Franklin Guitar Co. D is a handcrafted dreadnought built by Nick Kukich, known for his meticulous craftsmanship and vintage-inspired designs. Featuring a solid Adirondack spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back and sides, this guitar delivers a rich, well-balanced tone with excellent clarity and projection. The neck has a comfortable profile, making it ideal for both flatpicking and fingerstyle playing. With decades of aging, the wood has opened up beautifully, offering a warm, resonant voice reminiscent of pre-war Martins. This rare and highly regarded instrument showcases Franklin’s dedication to superior tone and build quality. Check out the Specs tab to see the full repair history. Includes a Hiscox hardshell case.
