This 1960 Fender Jazzmaster in Sunburst wears decades of wear with character and has been heavily modified over the years, resulting in a truly unique player’s guitar. The body was routed for Strat-style wiring and coated with shielding paint, with the original metal shielding removed (but included in the case). As a consequence of the routing, it’s notably lightweight for a Jazzmaster, making it especially comfortable over longer sessions. Electronics are a mix of CTS and Centralab pots, with the rhythm circuit replaced and a pair of Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder pickups installed—offering a thick, high-output tone that’s a long way from vintage spec, but undeniably fun. Refretted with a replacement nut, it plays well and feels lively, with all the patina and edge of a well-used original. Comes with the OHSC.
