Essentially a Gibson J-45 with a Martin scale length, Texans provide a great, crisp sound that rivals any popular flattop of their era. Their longer scale length makes them particularly underrated for flatpicking, and they excel in open tunings. This particular 1964 example is in very good condition for its age. It has undergone several repairs to ensure its playability for years to come, including a refret, a bridge re-glue, and a glued back crack on the bass side upper bout. Additionally, there is a small crack in the rosette under the pickguard that remains stable. Despite these changes, the guitar remains in excellent playable condition, offering a rich, warm, woody tone. Comes with a non-original hardshell case.
