This is the legendary Version 1 Big Muff, featuring the iconic Pi symbol on the front. It’s equipped with the coveted Fairchild FS36999 transistors and appears to be all original, aside from one added diode. Most of the pots date to 1967, and one of them is from '68. The tone is massive—very reminiscent of a cranked tube amp. The knobs seem to be more recent replacements.
It shows some cosmetic wear, but is in great shape for a pedal that’s over 50 years old. Buyers should note that, as an all-original vintage pedal, it has a higher noise floor compared to more modern designs.
