Having collected experience working at Emmons Guitar Company and managing a body shop through the 1970s, Charlie Stepp eventually set out to build his own brand of steel guitar. Though they ceased production in the early 2000s, Derby guitars have garnered a wonderful reputation among players and collectors for their elegant appearance, and Emmons-like action and sound. This guitar, one of only hundreds made, sports a beautifully deep blue finish with eye catching binding and crown inlays. Likewise, the guitar sounds and plays at least as beautifully as it looks. This SD-10 remains in beautiful condition with only retaining a bit of predictable patina and OHSC.
