This gorgeous 2009 De La Rosa from Tennessee luthier David Taylor is an instant classic. At 15-1/2" across the lower bout and 5" deep, it's versatile and balanced, especially when outfitted with a German spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. It has a darker voice, with a buttery rich low end and a bit of a gutsy growl when you dig in. The simple wood rosette and ebony binding keep it looking timeless, too. The seven-piece mahogany neck has a very distinct flattened D profile, which is certainly easy and comfortable to play but worth noting for folks who have a strong preference for V shape necks.
This De La Rosa comes outfitted with a passive McIntyre Feather pickup. A repaired top crack is visible on the lower bout, but we have confirmed it is stable. Some other stray nicks and dings put the condition in the "very good" category. Comes in a fitted hardshell case.
