There are no accidents when Collings gets to work on a Traditional series build. Every attribute is accounted for and worked together to generate an instrument that stands up to the test. With this D1, the player gets the best of both worlds. Playing stability and accuracy in a new and stable package that delivers a vintage sound associated with cannon dreadnoughts of the 40's. The torreified (baked) Adirondack top and Mahogany body pair nicely in a guitar that sacrifices nothing on tone and comfort. The neck has a vintage carve that transitions to a very slight V towards the heel for incredible comfort. Truly the cherry on top is the satin finish that offers the player the utmost feel and aesthetic advantage.

"Our Traditional Series or "T-Series” guitars represent an exciting vintage-inspired tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound, designed and crafted to showcase the most desirable characteristics present in coveted pre-war instruments. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection." - Collings

Comes with the original Collings TKL hard shell case
