The 2018 Collings D-2HAT is part of their esteemed Dreadnought series and features the classic D-2H design with additional "Aged Tone" (AT) specifications. The guitar boasts a solid Adirondack spruce top, known for its crisp, clear sound and excellent projection, paired with East Indian rosewood back and sides, contributing to a rich and balanced tonal spectrum. The "Aged Tone" treatment involves a special torrefaction process to the top wood, simulating the tonal characteristics of a vintage instrument. The D-2HAT's construction includes a traditional scalloped X-bracing, enhancing its resonance and dynamic range. The execution is exactly what you would expect from a builder like Collings - the result is a huge, rich sound, and thoroughly enjoyable playing experience, all around. It's in great shape, with only minimal signs of previous play wear. It comes with the handmade Collings hard case which is no longer being made (these sell on the aftermarket for $1200+ now).

*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
