Collings 470 JL 2022, Sunburst

This 2022 Collings 470 JL is Austin-built craftsmanship at its finest with a voice and feel all its own, and it’s one of the most comfortable guitars you’ll pick up. At 6.2 lbs it’s very light, so you can play it for hours. The Honduran mahogany and laminated maple build gives it warm, focused tone with a bit of snap on top. The handwound Ron Ellis Ellisonic pickups are full-voiced and punchy, with enough output to push an amp into rich, harmonically complex grit while staying clear and touch-sensitive when you clean up. The V-to-C mahogany neck has a vintage-inspired shape that fills your hand without feeling clubby, and the flatter ebony fingerboard makes low action and big bends easy. Relic nickel Waverly tuners add old-school style and smooth, precise tuning.
