Tony Bruno is a highly renowned amp builder, known for his custom Vox-inspired designs. This particular amp was owned and played by acclaimed country guitarist Brad Paisley!
The Underground 30 features two channels corresponding to the 1 and 2 inputs (Normal and Bright). It includes full 6G15-style reverb controls—Dwell, Mix, and Tone—along with a robust EL84 reverb driver tube. It should be noted that the reverb is only active on Channel II. This example is an earlier build and features a mix of old stock WIMA and Mustard coupling caps, along with vintage carbon comp resistors—which means users may notice a slightly higher noise floor compared to his later designs.
Due to the limited production of Bruno amps over the years, they’re relatively hard to find on the used market. This one shows moderate signs of previous road wear, with some scrapes in the wood, and still presents very well.
