Bayard Blain builds truly one-of-a-kind instruments out of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and has been crafting guitars since 2003, when he enrolled at the Summit School of Guitar Building and Repair in Qualicum, BC. His work is impeccable, with a thoughtful and refined choice of tonewoods throughout. This instrument features a Port Orford cedar top—Blain’s first time using this wood—and it pairs beautifully with the mandocello tuning, delivering a rich, balanced sound. A subtle shaded top highlights the grain in a really striking way, and elegant ebony appointments throughout complete the look. This instrument has such a sweet, nostalgic sound.
