Renowned builder Hooks has been gaining a strong reputation for crafting high-quality custom amps using vintage Bell & Howell projector amplifiers as the foundation. While specific circuit details remain somewhat elusive, it’s estimated to produce around 10 watts of power. Despite its simplicity, the amp offers a surprisingly versatile range of tones, controlled by a single volume knob and a stepped tone selector. A distinctive amber light on the front panel adds a unique visual touch.

This unit comes with a matching 1x8 speaker cabinet, also hand-assembled by Hooks. With extremely limited production, his amps are rare to find on the used market, making this a unique opportunity to own one of his sought-after creations.

The amp head comes with a custom padded carrying case, for ease of transport.

To prevent mechanical rattles, it is recommended to remove the top of the speaker cabinet before use.
