The Ampeg V4 is a stalwart of American amplification, delivering 120 watts of power. Played by notable musicians such as Pete Townshend and Keith Richards, these amps were widely used in the '70s for their versatility and large sonic footprint. Although the V4B is technically the bass model, it works just as well for guitar, with an almost identical circuit minus the reverb. Unlike Fenders and Marshalls, the V4 features an active tone stack with a powerful inductor circuit, giving you excellent control over the midrange, with selectable frequencies of 300Hz, 1kHz, and 3kHz. This amp shows moderate signs of previous wear but still looks great. It's completely stock on the inside and still sounds fantastic!
