200 years after the inception of the experiment we've come to know as the US of A, the good folks in Nazareth, PA (roughly 76 miles up the road from Philadelphia's Independence Hall) paid tribute to our country's humble beginnings with the D-76. Sharing specs with D-35s of the era, this guitar sounds as warm as a pioneer's fire on the open frontier. The typical dot inlays of the era have been replaced with 13 stars, a nod to the 13 colonies that didn't want their tea taxed, or freedom axed. An eagle spreads its wings in the center of the headstock to remind us to boldly strum where no pick has strummed before. And yes in case you were wondering, only 1976 of these were made.
