This 1937 Martin 000-18 has all the signs of a life well lived and a long life ahead. It’s had a neck reset and a re-fret, so it plays cleanly up the board, with the kind of dry, woody tone these pre-war mahogany Martins are known for. The back, sides, and neck have been over-sprayed or refinished at some point, but the top retains its original character, showing the kind of wear you can’t fake. The neck has that classic pre-war feel—slightly chunky but comfortable—and the guitar responds with warmth, clarity and pronunciation in equal measure. The guitar has received various repairs and replacement parts (as mentioned in the specifications) to maintain its integrity.  A played-in, well-cared-for example from a golden era.  Comes with the original hardshell case.
