Among Gibson's late-1950s solidbody offerings, few guitars embody the "less is more" philosophy quite like the Les Paul Junior. This 1959 example retains the features that made the model such a success: a lightweight mahogany body, a single dog-ear P-90, and a wraparound bridge working together in a package that feels purposeful and unembellished. Finished in Cherry, it has aged with grace and remains an especially clean survivor from a year that produced some of Gibson's most coveted instruments.

What makes a great Junior isn't complexity—it's the way every component contributes to the guitar's character. The lone P-90 delivers everything from crisp cleans to rich overdrive with a turn of the volume knob, while the resonant mahogany construction gives the instrument an immediacy that has attracted generations of players. This example remains in excellent condition and has benefited from only minimal maintenance, including a replaced nut, a re-soldered bridge ground wire, and a fret level. More than sixty-five years after it left Kalamazoo, it remains a compelling reminder that some of Gibson's most enduring designs were also among its simplest.

Includes 80s hard shell case.
