Modifications/Repairsrefret, pickups are rewound early 60s patent sticker humbuckers, added phase switch, replaced tuners with previous holes visible
Few guitars hold the iconic status of a cherry red Gibson ES-335, and this 1972 model is no exception. Retaining its original trapeze bridge, it has undergone a few thoughtful modifications to enhance its tone and playability. The original pickups have been replaced with a set of rewound early '60s patent sticker humbuckers, delivering a warm, vintage-inspired sound with rich harmonics. A phase switch has been added next to the pickup selector, offering additional tonal versatility, especially in the middle position. The tuners have also been replaced, and while the previous mounting holes are visible, this modification improves tuning stability. Despite these updates, the guitar retains its vintage charm and plays wonderfully, offering the classic feel and resonance that made the 335 a legend. The result is a fantastic-sounding guitar with a distinct, personal touch that feels just as good in hand as it sounds. Comes with an Epiphone hardshell case.
