Description

This 1996 Gibson Custom Shop ’56 Les Paul Reissue presents a clean and traditional take on the Goldtop format, finished in metallic gold with a mahogany back and neck. The carved maple top is paired with a pair of P-90 pickups, delivering a clear, direct response with strong midrange presence. Appointments include the wraparound tailpiece, cream binding, and period-correct control layout. The overall feel is solid and substantial, with the kind of balance and authority expected from a well-built Custom Shop reissue. Cosmetically, it remains in excellent condition with only light finish checking to note.
