The amp started out as a YVM-1 Voicemaster, which are PA amplifiers original designed for microphone amplification. However, as is the case with many Traynor amps they can become a superb platform for modding. This amp has been expanded to include the following features:
- 2-Channels: Clean & Mean
- Mean Channel has the white labeled controls - Drive, Voice, Cut (High), Level
- Clean Channel has the stock controls - Volume, Bass, Treble, Presence
- FX Loop added
- Swapped Output Transformer with 16/8/4/2 ohm taps
Other details about the mods are unknown, but it looks to be well done, and is surprisingly quiet. While it may not be a looker, this is actually a fantastic sounding amp. Gain is on the low to medium side, and both channels sound good driven. They don't call them Canadian Marshalls for nothing!
