The Taran Tirga Mhor DS3 is a 2018 build from the Dowling Signature series of guitars that Taran's Rory Dowling builds to commemorate his 15 years of guitar building and also to allow himself to push the boundaries and try different innovations and features.
This guitar, previously owned by renowned UK fingerstyle guitarist Martin Simpson, features Artist Grade Tasmanian blackwood for the back and sides with a Master Grade Bearclaw Swiss Moon spruce top. It has been built with Taran's cylindrical back and compression back braces design, and the sides are lined with padauk.
This Tirga Mhor has Taran's signature hot sand faded rosette, bevel and headstock veneers. A padauk neck is topped by an ebano fretboard, decorated with ebano binding, nine-carat gold fret markers and EVO gold wire frets with semi-hemispherical fret ends.
The guitar is in excellent condition and includes a Calton (orange) case.
