Max Spohn's MD was inspired by the Somogyi Modified Dreadnought, which in turn was inspired by the original Martin design. Though large in dimension, it has the comfortable playability of a mid-sized guitar, with the benefit of a more powerful and commanding voice. As you'd expect, with its unique shape comes a distinct voice, and this is just Max at his finest. The tone of this Madagascar rosewood and Swiss moon spruce MD has that modern, clean attack to it that makes it perfect for creative, complex arrangements. But with excellent sustain and a nice warmth earned over the year of playing its had, it executes simple rubato pieces just as well.

We're also obsessed with the appointments on this one. The rosette inlay and back of headstock looks like moss inlayed in glass! The condition of the guitar is excellent, though the black BAM case does have some minor scuffs.

*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
