This rare piece comes from the early days of Soldano Amps, when they were still produced in small numbers. In 1991, they outsourced the production of these Super Lead 60 Series II amps to Japan for a brief period. However, the quality is unquestionable—the wiring looks flawless and is identical to Mike Soldano's builds. This one has seen some wear, with slight discoloration at the top of the amp, but otherwise looks great with no significant rips or tears in the tolex.
The has a bright, high gain crunch sound to it—fans of the JCM800 and Sovtek Mig Series will be impressed. It has a bit more gain than the JCM, which makes sense considering it has an additional 12AX7 in the preamp. These amps don't come up often, so grab it while it's still available — at this price they offer fantastic value for a Soldano amp!
