"Coming from a design and film background, I am driven by instruments that are not only sonically viable, but interesting and unique aesthetically."

This Grand Concert model from New York luthier Eric Weigeshoff of Skytop Guitars features a sumptuously quilted set of maple for the back and sides, and a master-grade Swiss alpine spruce top. It has a 15.25” lower bout width and the signature Skytop double side soundport design, which gives the player a prime listening position and the ability to hear the sound from the guitar that the audience will hear, with no sacrifice to the listener's experience. The intuitively laid out fan fret/multi-scale design facilitates all manner of playing. Gorgeous looks aside, it sounds hugely rich, with shimmering highs and excellent clarity in all registers. It was demoed by the legendary Matt Thomas at the Artisan Guitar Show (video below), who demonstrated its potential for alternate tuned fingerstyle. Comes in a custom Calton case.

This guitar is currently located with the luthier in New York, USA. Shipping times will vary by buyer location.
