Maple provides a crisp, bright tone to resonator guitars, as well as a special beauty. This square neck Scheerhorn L-body is crafted of figured Maple, then stained and polished to bring out all the allure of the wood’s grain. And no two instruments are exactly alike, making each one unique. Inside that body is Tim Scheerhorn’s famed open-chamber design with six soundposts, internal sound baffle, and the special handspun Scheerhorn cone. The cast spider bridge is topped with Maple bridge inserts and the classic fan coverplate. The matching Maple neck is topped by an Ebony fretboard with abalone inlays. The guitar is finished with Scheerhorn’s unique dual open soundhole rings, a traditional tailpiece, and black hardware. This example is in very good condition, only showing light signs of wear including surface scratches and various dings.
