Santa Cruz OM, European Spruce & Flamed Maple

When it comes to the classic OM design, SCGC makes some of the best. This custom OM features a a European spruce top with delicate silking (and one bit of bearclaw figuring), beautifully flamed maple back and sides, and walnut binding and rosette to offset the pale tonewoods. There's a reason European spruce is the favorite soundboard of many luthiers these days. Slightly less stiff than Adirondack, it rewards a strong player while having a nuance and sweetness that works well for fingerstylists, too. Maple provides a transparent support, making this a perfect option for those looking for crystalline clarity and an easy mixing recording guitar. In keeping with tradition, scalloped bracing and hot hide glue construction further recreate that classic OM sound.
