Here's a sweet little piece of guitar history! The Regal line of instruments was launched by Emil Wulschner in Chicago at the turn of the century, eventually passing to Lyon & Healy who expanded the range to include flat-top acoustics like this one. While it may be a little flashy—gotta love the dominos on the fretboard, rosette and lower bout!—this is a solidly built little guitar from 1930. Featuring a solid spruce top, birch back and sides, and a poplar neck (two tonewoods we see less often these days but fairly common at the time), it's feather-light with a punchy, direct tone and easy playing feel that make it a whole lot of fun to play.
The repair history includes the usuals for keeping a guitar this age in good working order: neck set, new saddle, new nut, refret, and three top cracks repaired. It's ready for another century in action! Comes in its original chipboard case.
