"Beginning as a house brand in the 1930s for Montgomery Ward, Recording King acoustic guitars and banjos were developed during the Golden Age of musical craftsmanship, a period that resulted in some of the most well-respected and sought-after fretted acoustic instruments available."
This 1930 Recording King 1007 is a compelling guitar to play. With a slightly arched top, flat back, and lower bout under 15", it has the warmer tone and feel of a flat-top acoustic with just a hint of that archtop clarity and bite when you need it. The neck profile is definitively V shaped, with some nice wearing away of the finish on the lower three frets. This guitar has had a partial refret, a replaced bridge, and a top crack previously repaired. It comes in a newer hardshell case.
