This PRS Acoustic Martin Simpson model is the result of 3 years of experimentation and communication between me and the wonderful luthiers at PRS guitars. When I was first approached by Paul to be a consultant in the development of the acoustic guitar line, I was flattered and interested. When the first prototype arrived I was impressed and intrigued, but there were points at which I thought the guitar could be bettered. The second prototype had evolved and I could see it becoming a benchmark in the acoustic guitar world. However, with 45 years of playing behind me, there were additional changes I wanted to see for my own enjoyment and expression. Paul and the team listened to what I had to say and made me a guitar that I now play all the time. The instrument has a special voice. It sounds like itself, and it's a voice I love to hear and utilize in my music. I've used it now on tour and in the studio, for my own recording, for radio sessions and much more. This guitar has the same specs as that third prototype. It is made with exactly the same love and attention to detail, from the finest materials available, just like mine. I am proud of this instrument, and I hope you love it as much as I love mine.
