Preston Thompson says of their Size 2 Parlor that they're "based upon a vintage 1892 model owned by Preston. That particular Parlor guitar was built for gut strings, so when the Thompson Size 2 was developed we changed the wood thicknesses and bracing to accommodate steel strings." The result is about as fun and delightful to play as you could expect, with this AAAAA-grade Adirondack Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood model having an outsized voice with sweet, singing trebles. The wider nut and short scale make it a breeze to play.
