This Rickenbacker-looking guitar came from one of the more obscure guitar companies but was designed by one of the giants of the electric guitar era. Paul Barth was an original partner in Ro-Pat-In, which introduced the first viable electric guitar in 1932 and went on to become the Rickenbacker company. In the mid 1950s, he introduced his own brand of Barth guitars, which were distributed by the Natural Music Guild company of Santa Ana, CA. Remnants of the Natural brand remain on the headstock of this 1960 model. This guitar is in good condition with general wear for its age. There are some small finish chips and some scratches on the pickguard but no noticeable fret wear. Includes a period correct hard shell case.
