From Pagelli: "The BOWtop guitar is a completely new construction that combines elements of both flattop and archtop guitars. It is driven like an archtop, but rather than carved plates, the top and back are bowed. This approach delivers the quick response of an archtop while producing a different tonal spectrum.
The guitar features an adjustable bridge that uses wedge-shaped wings to alter the action. Pushing the wings together raises the string height, while moving them apart lowers it. The top is finished in lacquer, while the remainder of the instrument is oil-finished, providing protection while allowing the wood to breathe.
This instrument is one of only three examples built. The construction process is particularly labor-intensive due to the unique design."
