This 1890s Nightingale parlor guitar is a beautifully preserved example of late 19th-century craftsmanship. Likely built by one of Chicago’s prolific factories, it features a spruce top with Brazilian rosewood back and sides, delivering a dry, articulate tone with sweet midrange character. With its slotted headstock, ornate purfling, and small-body, it’s a compelling piece for collectors and players seeking vintage tone in a small package. This example has undergone extensive repair to ensure its playability for years to come. Check out the Specs tab for the full repair history. It includes a Cedar Creek hardshell case.
