Known as an authority on early vintage Fenders, renowned luthier Nacho Baños went to great lengths to carefully reproduce every aspect of Leo's original 1949 prototype of the Telecaster! This 2020 Aged Sunburst Tele has a lightweight swamp ash body, cut into four pieces and assembled sandwich style, with internal chambers carved just like the original from 1949. The nitro lacquer finish was cured and aged for months to give it natural looking weather checking, and the neck shows lacquer wear, too. The Kluson-style tuners and all hardware were carefully aged to maintain functionality. Mid-50s golden era Dynasonic-style pickups reproduce the tone of the originals.

A pickguard is included inside the tweed hard case along with some serious case candy, including detailed specs, a unique COA, a reproduction of Fender's Telecaster notes, and a CD-R, all in a leather pouch.
