Luthier Kevin Muiderman describes this ziricote OM as a "supercharged fingerstyle monster", and we agree several times over! Right out of the case, the feel and tone were immediately open and effortlessly responsive. That's no doubt thanks to Kevin's use of composite graphite bracing and an ultra lightweight top of beautifully bearclawed Sitka spruce. Ziricote typically has a rosewood-like sustain and overtone bloom, but with an extra zing and clarity to our ears. Tempering it with Sitka's warm sweetness results in an absolutely fabulous tone, with just the right amount of "roar". And as Kevin said, it's a fingerstyle workhorse, but it has the body to hold up to some hard strumming, too. Even with light gauge strings, it can handle drop tunings as low as C with no buzzing or flabbiness.
Comes with strap pins already installed at the base and on the neck heel, plus a blue Crossrock hardshell case.
