In the Pre-war era, flattops and arch tops were arguably just as prevalent of an offering as each other throughout brands; archtops were sometimes preferred because they could cut through the mix. All of the same craftsmanship in the flattops were found in these R and C models. This example from 1938 was built in the golden era of the brand and has survived thanks to a side crack repair and replacement parts.
