While less famous than Gibsons of the same era, Lyon & Healy made quite a number of mandolins between 1917-1935, with a distinct tone and look of their own! This 1930 Style B combines a carved spruce top and maple back and sides on a two-point style body with an unusual scroll headstock (not seen on every one from this era). The tone is notably sweeter than even a Gibson A-style, making this a great vintage option for a classical or Celtic player. Plus, how cool is that tailpiece?
Condition is quite good given the age, with some normal wear and tear, evidence of a neck refinish done at some point, and nicely playable set-up. Comes in its original hardshell case.
