Isaac Jang is a highly sought after young luthier who is crafting some of the most innovative and beautifully executed guitars available today, and here is an opportunity to skip the wait and snag one now! This subtly appointed 2016 OM is packed with our favorite Jang design features and crafted of master-grade German spruce and old-growth cocobolo. As expected, the playability is simply perfect, and the tone is rich, full-bodied and balanced whether you're delicately fingerpicking or digging in with a pick. Isaac always seems to achieve the perfect balance of modern clarity and vintage warmth, and this OM is no exception.
Borrowing from fellow lauded luthier Linda Manzer, this OM has a middle deep body with a subtle Manzer Wedge, ensuring a comfortable playing experience with no sacrifice of tone. The beveled "Bendaway" cutaway design originated with Japanese builder Mitsuhiro Uchida, and allows even the small-handed among us access to the 19th fret.
So often high end boutique guitars like this show up in pristine condition, but refreshingly this one bears evidence of a life well-loved and often played. In-house we have cleated and repaired a small back crack. There's some pickwear above the soundhole and beyond the pickguard, hazing on the lower bout bass side from arm contact, some slight wear on the back, and a few scattered superficial finish marks. Structurally it's now fully sound, with a set-up perfect for most playing styles. It comes in an upgraded Calton case, and with a K&K Trinity pickup installed.
