Somewhere between approachable and breathtaking, this Iris DF Smeck is an ecellent guitar. The slotted headstock, 12 fret neck and deep body converge into a guitar that is a joy to play and has booming volume. The lower register is stout and supporting of a dry mahogany midrange. This guitar was specifically spec'd to represent a low end for projecting basslines and a volume and tonal range that doesn't get lost in the mix. This is an ideal player for the musician looking to translate between venues, playing live, recording and acoustic accompaniments. A staggering European Spruce top shows beautiful grain patterns underneath the vintage sunburst satin finish. This DF is in wonderful condition and brings a dry and vintage vibe in its feel and sound that is rarely found in newer instruments.
