The 2009 Hopkins Tessa Nova is a handcrafted archtop electric guitar by Canadian luthier Peter Hopkins. It features a hand-carved Sitka spruce top and highly figured big leaf maple back and sides, paired with a one-piece flamed maple neck. The guitar includes a custom Kent Armstrong floating pickup, Gotoh 510 tuners, and a neo-classical fingerboard. Its design showcases open “scimitar” soundholes, a large flared “Nova” headstock, and matching carved components like the tailpiece and pickguard. Known for its clean, open, and percussive voice, the Tessa Nova is ideal for chord melody and solo playing. Includes an Ameritage hardshell case.
