Teaming up with Chet Atkins in the 1950s, Gretsch released a line of signature models that quickly became popular during the rock-n-roll era. 1957 saw the release of the Gretsch 6122 model, also known as the Chet Atkins Country Gentleman, named after one of his hit songs. This 1966 example has some glue residue from binding separation and slight breakdown of the binding, but is still in mostly original condition, featuring a classic Filter'Tron pickup in the bridge and a Super'Tron in the neck that make that signature Gretsch sound heard on so many records in the '60s.
