Grammer Guitars were made in Nashville by a company founded in 1965 by country guitar star Billy Grammer, luthier J.W. Gower and music store owner Clyde Reid. In early 1968, Ampeg took over Grammer, and by the end of 1972, the Grammer name was acquired by Tut and Mark Taylor.
