A Cherry-finished SG from the final years of the original-style late-’60s run, this 1968 Gibson SG Standard retains its original Patent Number pickups and a set of pots dating to 1966. The guitar has seen some work over the years, including a replacement nickel Maestro Vibrola, aged Grover tuners, replacement bridge and saddle, and a refret. Typical vintage wear is present throughout, with finish checking, scrapes, and additional wear along the edges. There’s plenty of honest history here, and the combination of original electronics and period-correct SG appointments makes this a compelling example of a late-’60s Standard.
Includes modern hard shell case.
