Description
This SG Special comes from what some consider to be the last great year of vintage Gibson electrics - 1964. In 1965 Gibson began shrinking their nut widths and began to phase out Brazilian rosewood on their builds, so 1964 was truly the end of an era. This SG Special live up to the hype with killer P-90 pickups and all original pots. The neck shape is perfect: starts slim and gets thicker higher up where you need it. At some point the original tuners were replaced with Grovers and it has an older refret. Cosmetically, it's in very good shape for its age with gorgeous checking and some finish dings on the body and headstock to note.
Includes original Gibson chipboard case.
