This 1957 Gibson Les Paul is a beast of an instrument.. one of the best playing Les Pauls we've had in the shop in a minute. It's gone through some changes in its nearly 70 years, but still remains a terrific player. It began its life as a gold top with factory PAFs. At some point,  it was excellently fully refinished with a lemon burst, and the pickups were also rewound. In this process the pickup rings were replaced as well as the pickguard. The truss rod cover and stop tailpiece were also replaced. The ABR, tuners, knobs and pots remain factory original to 1957.

This guitar absolutely sings, and you can hear that even before you plug it in. Its sustain is unrivaled. The pickups are full-bodied yet responsive, measuring at 8K and 7.6K respectively. The neck is surprising slim for a 1957, feeling comfortable all the way down. It's the closest thing we have to a true ‘burst available at the moment! And a great one at that.

Includes OHSC (Brown Lifton with wear) and modern HSC (90s Gibson in great shape).
