The 1975 Gibson L6S is a unique and innovative electric guitar, marking a departure from Gibson's traditional designs. Introduced in the mid-1970s, the L6S was Gibson's response to the growing popularity of versatile solid-body guitars. It features a single-cutaway design with a sleek, contoured body, often made of maple, providing a bright and clear tone. This guitar in particular was owned by Matthew Followill, of the band Kings of Leon. Despite seeing a heavy amount of playing time, the guitar has held up well. The electronics have been modified with EMG pickups, leaving the routing cavity exposed underneath the neck pickup. Additionally, the top and bottom screws on the back plate have been stripped, as well as 2 screws from the bridge pickup. The setup and playability feel great, as the guitar has been fret leveled at some point. It comes with the original Gibson hard case.
