This exceptional Gibson Johnny Smith archtop from the early '70s is a fine example of craftsmanship and tone. Originally introduced in 1961, the Johnny Smith model features an X-braced top and a single floating mini-humbucker pickup with a volume knob mounted on the pickguard.
This particular guitar has been upgraded with a replaced pickguard and an added bridge pickup, enhancing its tonal versatility. Additional updates include a new nut and a refret, ensuring optimized playability. Cosmetically, it remains in very good condition for its age, showing moderate wear consistent with regular use. Comes with a non-original hardshell case.
