The J-45 has long been a flagship acoustic model for Gibson, offering a no frills guitar with excellent playability and instantly recognizable Gibson tone. This example comes from 1946, a highly sought after era of Gibson guitars. It's seen some wear, tear and repair throughout its nearly 80 years, but comes to us now in perfectly playable condition thanks to some high level repair and maintenance. Most importantly, it's had a great neck reset and refret, and in that process the bridge was reglued and a new saddle and pins were added. On the interior the bridge plate was plugged and drilled, ensuring sure contact for optimal tone. All of its many cracks have been repaired and stabilized. The neck has been refinished, but the body is original, it just shows signs of clouding likely due to humidity.
If you're in the market for a J-45, this one sounds amazing. A dry, worn-in tone: exactly what you want from a vintage Gibson.
Includes modern hard shell case.
