This is a Gibson model that passes through on occasion and always impresses. The J-35 was refinished by Gibson in the 60's giving it a more recent appearance than its 1941 birthday. The tuners were replaced at the time as well. While the guitar does not stand in its original form, it does translate well to a more affordable J-35 that has the tone, volume and feel of a 40's Gibson. This guitar is in very good condition and has excellent playability, recently setup with 12s. Additional repairs and modifications include a replacement pickguard, replaced bridge and plate, repaired pickguard crack and a cleated center seam crack. This guitar is clear and bold, and it covers a large frequency range which makes it an excellent guitar for multiple playing styles.
Comes with a gator chipboard case in fair condition
