There is no sound that quite compares to that of a proper vintage Gibson Jumbo. The warmth and articulation that accompanies such a guitar is inviting for an avid strummer or a finger-style player. Many builders reference the excellent attentions taken to build vintage Gibson guitars, these attributes have aged excellently and inspire players still. This particular J-185 is a remarkable guitar that holds songs and stories.

The former owner of this instrument purchased it directly from Ricky Skaggs, offering its lineage as an added token of prominence. The condition of this guitar is a wonderful example of proper repair work to lengthen the life and enjoyment of the guitar. It has received a neck set, light overspray on the sides, a subsequent refret, bridge reglue, bridge plate repair and a few reglued braces. The saddle and bridge pins are also replacements. There are some signs of wear and checking but nothing that deters from the overall beautiful Gibson Sunburst finish and aged weather on the guitar. Playing and sonic capabilities are incredibly impressive and in stout competition with any J-185 out there.

Comes with a padded gig bag
